Im interested in starting an online business and i was wondering what all the requirements are for mt to do it

im an currently in school to become a bridal consultant, so i wanted to start an online business where brides can contact me for merchandise and my services. what kind of lisences do i need if i need any do i have to register my business with my state do i have to pay taxes and so fourth. i also noticed you guys had a place where i can start my own website and what not. can you help?

Congrats on your business of choice. Passion and a willingness to learn is a great start. A website is also a great way to start your business and to get the word out about your services. When it comes to great advice on the business side, I suggest that you check out SBA or your local SCORE chapter. They will point you in the right direction. You can check their sites at http://www.sba.gov and http://www.socre.org

As far as web hosting and how to get a site started...I suggest that you shop around. Look at several hosts. First compare feature-by-feature then dollar-for-dollar. This will ensure the best fit for you and get you the most for your money. There are a few great ones that provide assistance to the beginner and partnership for the pro. You can take a look at the web host of my choice and add it to your list of options. http://www.tobuildyour.com

BEST WISHES!

You can register as an affiliate or, a business registration company. I suggesdt using godaddy.com, or contacting your local government to avoid scams.

I would think that a bridal consultant would have to be a local kind of service. Perhaps you can have a webisite for advertising, but you have to get word out in your local community for that kind of thing so you can follow up to make sure everything goes just right.

If you want to read about the business side of it ... a free eBook.. "Go It Alone" at http://newfreebooks.com

I am not quite sure about registering of businesses. However, if you are looking into setting up your own website and create an online business, you might be interested to look at http://www.income-internet-business.com as it will tell you more details in a step by step guide. I have learnt some useful stuff there.
