Opening an online business....?

I am very interested in opening a online business...I believe I will do very well but I have no idea how to start...anyone have any info?

I feel i need to add this....I received a answer from someone who seemed to think that I had not a clue...when i said i fell i would do well...I meant I KNOW I WILL DO WELL..I already have my own business and I have had it for 11 years now I was asking for info on opening an online one...I know its not gonna be easy what worth having is? and Im sure you felt you would do well when you decided to open yours so why would you doubt the next individual ? You cannot go any where thinking so negatively!!! Thanks for all the people being supportive(not judgemental)

how do you know you will do very well when you havent opened one, or have no idea how to start one? have a website designed and then start from there. First pick what you are going to buy/sell/trade or offer. Then, start working on it. Use one of those free websites....then start trying to get traffic...Its not as easy as you think. I own a website...I own frankypainting. And its costly if you sit around and have it work on its own....If you do some work, it will cut the costs down, but the money you save versus the labor you put out...will translate to like nothing per hour....I mean...pushing out $400 a month is a lot of money for something you dont know will work or not...but when you do the hours..and do like 60 hours or something....to try to save $400...you are practically making nothing..but thats what you have to deal with when you are just starting out....Your best bet is to join alot of "similar" affiliate programs...then placing them on a free website...and then get some free business cards online...where you only pay for shipping..then start passing them around...make it a goal to give out X amount of business cards...and I dont mean giving it out to just anybody...I mean giving it out to people worth giving it to...Not 12 year olds...or people who dont work..etc etc...You get the idea..then hope that some of them buy into your produts...then use that money to advertise, pay per click, or more business cards, etc etc....
