I own an online dating business. It is very competitive, but I enjoy what I do and that is very important. I have been doing it since 1998. I started off with one computer and a desk. How much a month? Do not think that anyone would divulge that. How many hours? Too many, but I am devoted to my work and it is not unusual for me to be on the Internet until the early hours of the morning.

There are a lot of opportunities out there for people wanting to start a business on the Internet, but stay away from the get rich quick schemes. The get rich part of these ads only make money for the people who are selling it. Believe me, I have a huge network of people around the world who have told me what they have tried and how embarassing it was to find out that get rich schemes are simply that.

So many questions ..

I partnered with a company about four years ago and have been very pleased with them. I am doing very well with it and I love being able to work from home. Plus they are members of the BBB which was important to me with all the scams out there.

I dont have to Stock Inventory or sell products nor do I have to take orders, deliver anything or get stung with bad checks when making collections ... Did that in the past, NOT again!

The questions you should really be asking any company you are looking over are: Do you have a duplicatable system within your organization? What are the policies and procedures? What type of compensation plan do you have? Are you in a 5 Pillars Company?

I have two. One is an item that I sew. Another is for voiceover work, doing commercials and telephone on-hold messages. I work about 30 hours a week on both businesses. 100% of my customers are online. Startup costs were nil because was already sewing as a hobby, and the voiceover equipment was provided by my first client. I started with freebie websites and upgraded as the money came in. I make about 2K a month.

I should say I am a retired radio DJ so I already had 21 years experience. So the best advice is to do what you already know how to do.
