For an online business is a state tax id number equivalent to a seller's permit?

I am starting an online business and I wan't to be able to buy wholesale. In the state of florida does a state tax id equal that of a seller's permit? I have the business license and state tax ID # but no info on whether or not you need a seller's permit to be able to by wholesale or will your state tax ID suffice?Thanks in advance

Your state sales tax certificate number also acts as your resale certificate. You don't need anything additional.
