How can i advertise my online business either online or to the public?

i cant seem how to find a good way to advertise online and not online. has anybody experienced this before. my online business i am trying to advertise online and not online. anything that would help to advertise?

Locally, the best way is to hire a "door to door" company to post flyers advertising your site, or just go out and do it your self. (thats what i did), as for the internet, there are several companies out there that will submit your site to hundreds of serch engines for a fee, or you can bid for banners on yahoo small business,.

You know, this is the same problem that all business owners, and anyone with anything to sell has.

Online, you could add your signature block to everything you sell or post, post ads to all the free classifed sites, (and there are many of them out there). You could list on ebay, (yes, they have classifieds too) Join chat groups that have to do with your business, and others that have to do with advertising and marketing. Go for ads in opt in email pieces that someone suggested earlier. Do a joint venture with someone that has a large list. Use your imagination.

As to offline, place classified ads in local publications. Leave a business card everywhere you go, (use both sides to get the most out of your card) and tack up fliers on every bulletin board you can. Put a magnetic sign on your car. (I can provide these inexpensivly for you) Send out post cards to your target market. The postage is only .24 cents. Spend time on the telephone, and do your own telemarketing. Use your imagination. There are many, many ways.
