Starting an online Business. What is needed?

What is needed for someone to start an online business. I understand product but that is about as far as my mind goes at the moment. I am smart and a fast learner though so I would like to start a small online store and work my way through college later this year when I can get in for better business knowledge.

So could anyone either link me to solid info or share theres. Such as how products are gotten, how to sell them best, and other important information. Any and all will be appreciated.

I imagine you want to know at least a basic idea of what I may go into to. I was thinking either collectibles such as card games and items of collectible value. As well as possibly a game store although I am leaning more to the other one.
