Can any one tell me what is moneycontrol.com. i want to invest small amount there. how can i invest ?

can any body tell me how to invest? i am totally new to investment online line...?

Money control is a business and finance vortal. They provide information and content to make your investing decisions. Of course you need to subscribe for a fee. I don't think you can directly invest through moneycontrol. You can use their information and content to arrive at a decision and invest your amount through appropriate channels. For instance if you want to invest in shares then you need to open a trading account(DMAT account) with any existing derivative partners like (ICICIdirect, ..)
For new beginners, they even provide some on-line investing game to get used to stock market.

Moneycontrol is the web portal of the famous TV channel CNBC TV18.
Moneycontrol generally discusses about the stock market, IPOs, analysts opinion and gives tips of what to buy or sell.

If you have small amount of money and are not that comfortable trading in the secondary share market, it's better you invest your money in the Mutual Fund. Mutual Funds are the companies which invest money on your behalf into the share maket and is less risky as compared to investing in stocks.

If you wish I can send the forms for investing in indian mutual funds, but you need pan card to invest in mutual funds. If you do not have one then you can invest in LIC's Market Plus, Profit Plus or Forturn Plus plans. these are also like mutual funds but with risk coverage for your life. You can get without risk also
