Please help. I am working on matching, but am getting confused on some of these matchings.

Terms:
A. Plan assets exceed the PBO
B. Contribution to pension fund
C. Contributory pension plan
D. Gain or loss on PBO
E. The PBO exceeds plan assets
F. Noncontributory pension plan
G. Pension expense
H. Prior service cost
I. Service method
J. Straight-line method
Phrases:
1. ____ A shareholders鈥?equity account.
2. ____ A financing decision.
3. ____ All funding provided by the employer.
4. ____ Reduced by return on assets.
5. ____ Reported as a pension liability.

Take an item, e.g. 1 and look through the list until you find something that fits. Only D qualifies. I don't know what PBO means, it is not a term used in the US so I can't help you with those.
