How do I raise capital through my pension fund?

How do I raise capital through my pension fund?

Unless you are desperate and facing total financial ruin, don't even think about it.

Some pension funds will permit you to borrow up to some percentage from your fund. But you will have to repay plus interest. A few funds will permit you to withdraw if you are no longer with the employer that created the fund. You will have to pay income taxes and probably a penalty on all money withdrawn.

You can't until you retire. Then you can take 25% of the fund as tax free cash.

If you are over 50, it is sometimes possible to cash-in part of your investment in return for a much reduced pension when you retire. It is not usually a very good idea, and there are usually better ways of raising cash.

Take professional financial advice before doing anything.
