Regarding personal income tax preparations, When I am asked if I had any state or local income tax refunds...? |
I'm filing my 2007 taxes right now. It further specifies that I should be able to find this information on a 1099-G form........Any ideas? its talking about the refund you got from your 2006 return, but only if you itemized your deductions on your federal tax return for that year (2006). Yes, it's asking about refunds on your 2006 state or local returns. They are asking if you got a state or local return for 2006. If you did, you should have received a statement with the amount from your state. If you didn't itemize your deductions last year it doesn't matter how much you got back. If you did itemize, then some of your last-year's state return may be taxable. |
