Is an internet cafe a good investment?

I am intersted in opening an internet cafe. Are they profitable?

If it's a good area, like near a school or downtown, Yes.

My friend runs one, and he basically makes his rent and operating costs int he first week of the month, the rest profit.

Also, lots of game players, like Evercrack, WoW, ect...

Serve coffee, too.

He charges $1 for 10 minutes, $5/hour. He tried, but stopped, a gamer subscription of $100/month for unlimited game play, but it "just didn't go over too well".
