Starting a business and confused?

Hi, I want to start a business when I am 16. It will probably be a as a sole trader. What is the best way to estimate start up costs? I will be starting a software development company, running it part time, to help fund things like uni. What is a good way to raise start up capital, and also, how would I approach a bank about setting up a bank account for the business? I need some general guidance.

Basically, it would be a business to get extra funds (and also go on a CV). It would just to be to sell the software that I make. Also, I would put uni first, actually, if I made a million, maybe I might drop out...

You will not be able to get credit (either bank loan or credit card) until you are aged 18. Even then, be careful! If you're thinking of going to uni you may need to get a student loan.

You need to think how you would be able to run your business at the same time as studying. Of course, if the business really took off, you may not need to go to uni!

Best of luck

Start up costs are unique to each business. If you are selling a service, they are relatively low, if you are selling produce then quite high, as you need to buy the stuff yourself first.

The best way is to get a pen and paper and add it up! Then add 20%, as most estimates are about this far below (there are always hidden expenses.)

I think personal credit is the best option to a young person like you. Goodluck

100% genuine business, legitimate, low risk, not mlm.....

Drop me a few lines, it cost you nothing.
Let's start with a simple question, where are you based and what are you good at?

My email moviebuzzer98@yahoo.com

I just answered your other question.... didn't realise you were 16 - fair play to you on being so enterprising!!

(A word of warning though - I'd be wary of someone asking you what you're good at and to contact them.... that's a bit odd and doesn't sound genuine!).
