How does an LLC account for a fundraising project as income?

If an LLC launches a brick paver project/campaign to raise money, do they account for the income at the end of the year? Selling engraved brick pavers to raise capital is necessary for an LLC.

Yes. Unless you're a non-profit, it counts as any other revenue, and you need to report it for tax purposes.

But, if it's cash and you don't issue a receipt, the IRS will never know. So, use your own judgment, if you catch my drift.
