I reside in the State of California and I have a question about child support.? |
If I hold 3,000.000 in real estate, but those investments are not producing a return (negative cash flow) am i still responsible for child support? For the last year I have not had any income,but my ex-wife has a good paying job. I am an involved parent who has always paid all my childs expenses but this latest downturn in real estate has left me with no income. well i afraid you had better plan on getting some income coming in or thank about dumping real estate -- child support has to be paid!!! If you have a case worker then contact them and have them review your case. If you are paying it on your own to your wife without an order then you can stop paying and if she goes to the state to get the order then your income will be reviewed and her income will be taken into account. |
