Investment for tax savings?

i want to invest for tax savings, when should i invest and which is better like ULIPs or MFs or any other plz give which MFs is better returns

SBI Magnum Taxgain

SBI/HDFC/Reliance - All three have good ELSS schemes, which are covered by 80C. These have a lock-in of three years but are also exempted from Capital gain tax. I would suggest the option of "Dividend Pay-out" of any of these scheme.

If your target is investment, dont go for ULIP because of the charges involved.

In tax saving Mutual Fund, I will recommend you one of the following
1. Principle Personnel Tax gain
2. SBI Magnum Taxgain
3. Sundram Tax Saver
4. Standard Charted Tax Gain(It is a new one but has gained 55% in just 10 months)
