What would your real return be if you bought McDonald's at 10 in 1992 and then sold at 45 in 1999.?

How many times did the stock split or divide in any way during this time? This division is a factor in the overall return on investment?

don't know about the divisions but use a spreadsheet to calculate the inflation rate applied to the 10 between 1992 and 1999. In the UK there is an "Indexation Allowance" which lets you reduce your taxable gain due to inflation.
