Do gas stations make good return for your investment?

yes and no

yes because gas is necessity at this point, if you have the money then why not try it.
But you have to consider a lot of things; 1st gas stations has high level of competition, you must have a good location for a good profit; 2nd return of investment too slow, maybe it will take you 3 to 5 years to earn good; 3rd oil has unstable supply thats why oil prices gets high; 4th it has high overhead expense, so you will be needing a lot of money to support your expenses.

I don't know if they make a good investment, but about 3 years ago I heard of a US government incentive scheme that allowed an investor to purchase a gas station in relatively remote areas of the US for US$70,000. I would imagine that if this is the only investment cost, then considering other costs such as interest and working capital costs, this would probably be a worthwhile risk to take.
