Return on investment? What is the average % in the market? |
If I invested 2 million in the market today. What percent per year could I expect to get back in return. The S&P 500 has averaged a return of 10.43% a year since 1926, assuming you reinvest dividends. But there was one year it jumped ~50%, and other years it dropped ~30%. During the decade of the '80's it averaged ~17%. In the '30's it averaged a negative -1% a year. Check out www.investorfriends.com/return_versus_gd... |
