Ever worked for a thief?

More years ago than I care to remember, I worked in a place where there were three cash registers, and everybody who worked there used all three of them. We started having shortages, and the boss would make us all kick in money to cover them. The shortages were almost always $50, exactly.

We figured out pretty quickly who the thief was, and one night we all agreed not to use the one register that was usually the one that was short (furthest from the door). At the end of the night, as the tape was printing out for that till, the boss told us it was $50 short, meaning he hadn't looked at the tape or counted the money (only the seed money from the start of the shift was in it). We called him on it, and he claimed that there was something wrong with the till, but the tape showed that nothing had been rung up.

Nope, but I did work for a corrupt Chief of Police who used political favoritism to make his promotions. He is as we speak, in the process of losing his job and hopefully getting criminally prosecuted!

Yes and they owe me three thousand dollars but they are in jail and I will never see that money but I still have the pay check to remind me.

Lotsa times. Three times I quit and one time I got my boss's boss fired.
