What is a good business to start with 100k-300k startup capital and excellent growth potential?

a laundry mat in a area with apartments b/c plp in apartments have no washers or dryers and usually dont have time to do there own laundry so they pay other people to at the laundrymats

I personally would rather purchase an existing company for that amount of money. Go to http://www.bizbuysell.com , there's lots of companies for sale there. Doing this will help you by not having to go thru the growth pains.

Rule of thumb -- you will be paying around 2 to 3 times cash flow (profit) for the company. Also, you should be able to have the owner finance 25% of the price for you so you can purchase a company that will generate up to $125-150K per year for you.
