Bill Gates just sunk 26ml in LGBT... what's that about anyway?

I've been watching this stock closely because it has been increasing in volume+price for awhile, and is at a near record-low. Then all of a sudden Gates comes in to save the day. Please advise if you think this would be a wise investment.

"Financially troubled PlanetOut (LGBT) today announced an agreement to sell 22.8 million shares for gross proceeds of $26.2 million, which comes to about $1.15 a share. Buyers include a group of institutional investors, including Special Situations funds, Cascade Investment, SF Capital Partners, PAR Investment Partners and Allen & Co. Allen & Co. also was the placement agent for the deal"

So i would suspect that it continues to bounce, then would be vary weary until dust settles in aug 1st meeting, The chart technicals look like it will continue to move up more in the short term.
