Wht is 60% of $3000? |
an investor bought a stock fo $30 per share and later sold it for $50 per share. the investor bought the stock on margin. the requirement is 60%. wht is the percentage earned on the investment? this is a homework question in investment. i just cant figure it out, If the margin is 60%, then even though the stock cost $30 he only paid $22 for it - so paid $22 - sold it for $50, so he made Use a calculator, stupid! 60% of 3000 = $1800. Use a calculator then take 3000 and divide it by 100 you get 30 right then multiply 30 by whatever pecentage your looking for in your case 60% so 30 times 60 = $1800 1,800 $1800. |
