Are public stocks considered "illiquid" investments?

Are public stocks considered "illiquid" investments?

Nope, Public Stocks are considered liquid stocks, because unlike real estate they can be converted into cash much faster.

No. Stocks traded on the stock exchanges are called publicly traded stocks. They are usually very liquid, you sell most of them in a few seconds. Stock that is not traded on an exchange would be considered less liquid. An example of a publicly traded stock that is less liquid would be a small cap stock that does not have a good trading volume. Cap means the total value of the company which is the share price x the amount of shares, companies are generally classified as small cap, mid cap, and large cap. Large cap stocks have millions of shares traded daily it is easy for most people to buy or sell stock without causing any price movement by their individual trade. However, I have tried to sell like 1,000 shares of a small cap stocks and it moved the price of the stock by over $1 and it took a few minutes to sell it.
