Stock Exchange Of Singapore Index?

I read in one of the investment books. It shows
SES Index = Current Aggregate Market Value upon
Base Aggregate Market Value x 100.

But I do not understand cause my math suck :((
May I know how do I get The SES Index. Please help Thanks.

Not quite. There is no "Stock Exchange of Singapore Index".

The closest is the SESALL, a market weighted index indexed to 100 at January 2, 1975. It is not quite "aggregate market value x 100", as there are adjustments (e.g. some stocks are excluded, what to do with halted stocks). The SESALL includes both the main board and the SESDAQ.

The other key benchmark is the Straits Times Index, made up of fifty of the largest Singaporean stocks. It is a market-weighted index, but is not calculated that way you described. The Index is sponsored by the Straits Times (owned by Singapore Press Holdings).

The second index is the UOB Sesdaq market, which is also a market weighted index, but calculates stocks on SESDAQ (sponsored by UOB).

Third third index is the SiMSCI, which is also a market weighted index calculated by Morgan Stanley.

The fourth index, the DBS 50, no longer exists.

The Singapore Stock Exchange (SGX) does not sponsor any indices.
