What are some investment ideas for a 14 year old?

Too young to be hired for a job but have too much self respect to mow peoples lawns.....would rather invest in something but I have no idea....stock market? Is it worth it? I need to find something to make a quick buck .

I wouldn't recommend the stock market for a "quick buck". Historically you have to put your money in and be willing to wait by riding the ups and downs to make good money.
Plus, you have to have money to put in it to make money out of it.

Why is it a matter of self-respect to not mow people's lawns? It is a perfectly respectable way to earn some money at your age. If you were 30 years old and living in your parent's basement and using that as your only source of income then yeah - it would be pretty low. But that isn't your case.

Think about the kind of things you like to do most and see if there isn't a way to do those things and make some money at it.

Well, you usually have to have money to start making money. If you already have money, than stocks aren't a bad idea, especially so young. You have plenty of time to recover any losses. As far as making a quick buck... They are usually illegal. If it is to obtain a material posession, try and think of ways that you can get what you want. Just beware of anything that says real money, real fast. If it sounds too good to be true, it usually is. Good luck.

A good investment is fine baseball cards or other cards at yard sale, you be very surprise money you can make resaling them over e. bay.

there is nothing wrong with mowing lawns...........
what respect ................it's a job..........do it well.........get a reputation for doing quality work........
Investments involve buying things.stocks, bonds, coins, baseball cards, etc.need money fo that..........

Don't go after the quick buck, but long term compund interest.
Most important, do not make other people rich with trading fees.
