I want to invest 5000 in stocks , which is best stock for short term investment?

Consider a few very good energy plays that are still beaten down off their 52 week highs while energy prices remain near historic highs:

ME (Mariner Energy)
VLO (Valero Energy)

Google for a couple of days have constantly been going up, but in a more general term im thinking that prescription drugs would be a really good investment. Sorry i cant be more specific, but maybe if you invested in medicine would be beneficial.

I wouldn't buy anything now. There's some people talking recession.

Hi Dear,

I am a financial Advicer. I guess you are new to investing. So, Proper learning is required in order to invest. Because earning money is so difficult.

You Apply for protoinfosys the cost is 6.8 Rupees/ Share and in 2 months It will be 12. Once it reaches 12 just sell half of it.

Your amount is little but still you can double it before 15th Febuary. I bought it when it was 2.54 Rupees/ Share. If you want to earn more, read the following sites :

the market is really really bad right now. Why? there are many reasons. But most commonly, it is christmas. People are taking their money out of the market and spending. Stocks are plummetting.
But some may have notice that for the past few months, stocks in general have been making a steady decline. I'm a daytrader (really really short time) and im not even investing right now. Hopefully i can go back to work after new years.

But since you said shorterm, it is very possible to invest now (prices are extremely low) and in a month or two, it is possible that it goes up a lot.

ps. you said you want to invest $5000, you can get margin and therefore be able to trade with $10,000. Anyway good luck

pps. Google is $600+ a share
