How do I get started in stock investment and choose what co. iI want to invest in? Just open a brokerage account at scottrade if you have $500 or at ameritrade if you have $1000.00 start reading up these books I would agree especially with A Random Walk Down Wall Street, it is a great book, and is probably available through your library. I would also reccommend Naked Economics (not naked pictures of Greenspan, an overview of economics). First you have to open an account with a Investment Broker, there are many.
