I have 拢9000 - how should I best invest it (in the UK)?

I currently have 拢6000 in an ISA and a further 拢3000 in a savings account.

I would like to invest some money in a well performing investment trust. Should I take the 拢3k out of my savings account and put it in this investment trust (which can get anywhere between 10-15% return).

I would also like to buy some shares on the stock market. I have done a lot of research and know of some good performing shares. Shall I shove 拢3000 into these as well? I will be investing in around four seperate companies on the LSE - so I will be buying around 拢750 shares in each. Is this worth it? Or is it not worth it if I am only investing such small amounts within companies? Shall I just invest 拢3k in one company or 拢1500 in two?

Or shall I just leave my money in the 6% ISA?

Thanks for your help.

invest in me I'm the future of rock n roll

ISAs can be dangerous i hear...they may take yor money

the bes bet is to invest in someone like me

if you know about computers and how to build them you could buy all the parts from a local trade retailer for trade price even re-conditioned hard drives and monitors wont matter. bundle together about 25 comps and sell them for 300 each. theres double your 3k investment. play it safe sell them at 250 each. your still making a quick profit. thats what i would do. its near xmas time and people always want a bargin.

Invest only in the money you can afford to lose. Shares are unpredictable sometimes.

you are more likely to make money shorting the market...you can do this by purchasing a 'bear' fund...the value of which rises as shares fall - but details differ from fund to fund but tons of info on internet...societie general has a range i think...including a turbo bear accelerator....but obviously do your due diligence...you dont have to be long to make money...? or you could buy a bit of gold or another currency - sterling very expensive considering fundamentals...just some ideas to think about...not recommendations
