Future value of inestment in excel?

hi
i wish to know future value of my invest ment at rate of interest:-
eg..
if invest 50000 @ 5 % p.a. = ? (value of investment after 25 years)

can anyone pls help me ...

If you make the assumption it is 5% compounded per annum, then use the following formula:

FV = FV factor * PV -- where
FV is the future value you are solving for
PV is the present value or the initial investment of $50,000
FV factor is (1.05)^25 or 1 plus the return all raised to the 25th power to denote 25 years of annual compounding

FV= (1.05)^25 * 50000
FV is 169,317.75

You can go to almost any banks website and use a savings calculator to figure it out.
