I need help diversifing my 401k?

I am currently allocating 10% to each of the following. International equities
Sciece and Tech
Vanguard Windsor 2
Int. small cap equ.
Small cap growth(jp morgan)
large cap value
nasdaq index fund
large cap growth
Mid cap strategic growth
global Equ.

I was wondering if I am over diversified.I am 31 with at 25 more years to work and have 5 years of money in it already.I have option for index funds and lifestyle funds, but do not know if I should be in them.Want to be aggresive(no bonds).Looking for some advice..thanks.

You have selected one industry specifically and the rest is in a quite varied category of equity cap and growth vs value type. I assume you are talking about mutual funds, not indivudual stocks. It looks very reasonable to me. Although many will recommend a particular assortment, there is actually no absolutely best one. I personally doubt lifestyle funds will have much pay off. I have also omitted funds personally and invest only in stocks since mutual funds pay off so poorly at present. I assume you are allowed to pick only funds and only a few of them in a company's 401K. This is unfortunate and it is for the benefit of the 401 K administration more than for its investors. The ones allowed usually pay off poorly. Do look for trends; eg if S. Korean or Sweden or Energy i share or ETFunds or small cap funds show good growth for 3 months, move into them. Don't move because of short term trends.

Get a good financial adviser.......they are worth it........talk to your family and friends......see who they are using....

first of all, you want some amount of bond, that won't slow you down over 25 years. maybe later, now interest rate is so low.

2nd of all, increase your international exposure, to at least 30%

3rd, dump Nasdaq index, it's not going anywhere

you are fine, keep it up

I think that you are well diversified in your stock portfolio. You do have 30 percent in International already, which is plenty. Unless you have more than 400,000 invested, you have it spread out already. I agree with the comment that the index fund isn't going to give you great performance over the long term.

I would suggest looking over the fund choices you have and opting for the ones with the lowest fees.
