I have a 401k in swaab and i'm not happy....?

about it. The reason being is that their funds expense is so high. I put money in a roth ira as well, like in T rowe Vanguard. Does anyone know of any good funds in Swaab, I read about how great t rowe and vanguard are, but i'm stuck with an expensive funds at CB. No financial expert ever praises swaab

I can invest myself anything they have to offer, I do not have to go threw a broker

go to http://www.bestmoneyinfo.com for help picking the right funds. Its a free site that evaluates mutual funds for retirement.

What is the range of options that your 401(k) allows? Is it a self-directed brokerage account or are you restricted to a set group of funds?

What are your choices within the 401K? The administrator should offer you additional options, but if the fund is invested with Swaab then you need to speak with whoever is in charge of your portfolio. You may be able to change some of funds and adopt a more conservative or a more aggressive profile according to your goals.

reason that they have funds with fairly high expense ratios is because those funds are paying for the schwab account for you. Did you pay anything? Did you expect to have the account for nothing?

that being said there are very good funds at schwab...plenty of no load funds with low expense ratios. Look for index funds and other funds offered by larger firms. Generally the larger the fund company the lower the expense ratios.
