Which Vanguard Fund Should i pick for my roith ira account?

i'm in my 30's .. this would be my first roith ira account?

i would go with a growth income == may not earn as much but remember that it may not also lose as much!!!

I would invest in some more aggressive funds. You have a long time for your money to grow.

Go to www.morningstar.com and take a look at the funds available to you, then pick one that meets your goals and risk tolerance.

Blue chip large cap are supposed to do well. If your thinking is along those lines then VGEQX. Check out this link for comparison of Vanguard funds, with year to date data........

It depends on how much money management you want to do. If you are interested in investing, you could look through the various Vanguard stock and bond funds and put together a reasonably well-diversified mix.

However, it sounds like you're not that familiar with investing. In that case, a simple investment would be a target date retirement fund (also called lifecycle funds). These funds are managed to provide a diversified retirement portfolio around the time when you expect to retire. You don't have to do the money management (like the diversification decisions, etc.); the fund managers do it for you. Assuming you plan to retire in 30 years, the Vanguard Target Retirement 2035 fund might be a suitable choice for you.
