Venture capital for website?

If i want to start a website like myspace, youtube why do i need a venture capital at some time if the monthly payments for webhosting and other charges is less than $50.

You'd only need venture capital if you are planning on turning it into a business. At which point you could either self fund using a very good business plan or apply to get venture capital from investors or in the form of a loan.

Otherwise is you have a community site for you and your friends to be on and it is not a business and you have no intention of turning it into a business you wouldn't need any venture capital or outside funding.
