How to become a Venture Capitalist?

I am an MBA graduate with major in Finance and Marketing. I have some experience working on financial statements. I need information, how to become a VC to participate in the Due Diligence process.

It depends what you want to get out of the business. If you have lot's of cash you may be able to buy in as a partner. If you don't you have to have proven success at making businesses succeed. That's what a VC does. Practiacally all VCs have specialities; for instance mobil technology, bioengeneering, etc. You can't know everything about every business, that is why you need a particular focus.

I would suggest that you first decide where you want to focus, then find a job with a start-up in that field. Short of investing hundreds of thousands of your own money, that is the best way to gain expertise in making companies succeed.

Robert K talked about it in one of his books. But I would search for VC's and see what they are requiring. That should guide you a bit more.
